Single-layer circuits have a single layer of copper laminated between polyimide dielectrics.

This particular circuit is unique because, while it has only one layer of copper, it is very dense. The line and space width is only 0.0014 inches or 35 microns!
Single sided circuit - Application is for a hand held device display module.
Top Silkscreen Image - The part number will be printed onto the top of the finished circuit.
Top Coverlay - This is the top polyimide cover that will be adhered to the etched copper of the circuit. The polyimide will protect the circuit traces as well as allow the circuit to bend.
Copper Layer - This is the artwork of the copper layer after etching. Through the use of phototools and chemicals, we can turn a flat piece of copper into this circuit.
Bottom Coverlay. This is the polyimide cover for the bottom of the etched copper.
Outline - PFC’s flex are manufactured in 18”x12” or 18”x24” panels. We fit as many parts as possible on a panel then use a punch/die to cut the parts from the panel. This is the artwork for the tooling die to cut the part from the panel.
